Chemical Peel

There are many types of chemical peels, but the main agents in peels are naturally derived from the earth, like kojic, glycolic, and salicylic acids.

  • Kojic acid is used in one of our peels to reduce hyperpigmentation. It is a natural substance found in rice, and is part of the alpha hydroxy family of acids. If done in a series, kojic acid peels can be extremely effective in eliminating hyperpigmentation.
  • Glycolic acid is commonly used in peels due to its versatility. It’s derived from sugarcane and is also an alpha hydroxy. Glycolic acid improves the skin in several ways, like reducing age spots, hyperpigmentation, and wrinkles, as well as lightening acne scars.
  • Salicylic acid is used in one of our most popular peels. Salicylic acid is derived from willow bark and is an incredible agent for killing bacteria to clear up acne.

All chemical peels exfoliate the skin, which enables new skin cells to reproduce. They also improve and smooth the texture of skin. As always, the talented Laser Loft technicians will customize peels according to individual needs and conditions. Performing peels in a series will provide optimal results.
